How about this? We start a "My V10 ran great today" thread. Everyone has to post every day and say how it ran. I bet a very small percentage report any problems
Ill complain, complain, and complain some more. I sure WISH i was having the same experiences you guys are having. I bought this V10 in large part because I didnt want to have the problems assosciated with the diesels. I should check again and make sure its not a psd they slipped under my hood
I really get a good laugh when I visit the v10 thread but I think it should be renamed to Fantasy Land, that what you guys live in your beloved v10 is just a jaguar v12 with two cylinders cut off a throw back from the old xj12 days where every one that had one replaced it with a 350 chevy engine, so when the v10 wears out you can put a 350 in to replace it HaHa

I had a 99 and a 2001 both V10s gave problems as a matter of fact ford put 6 sets of heads on the 2001 till they could get a set that would not blow the spark plugs out I finally had enough of it and tried the 6.0 diesel and have never had any regrets like I did with the V10s. It took for a couple of years to get the bugs out of the V10 as it did with the 6.0 it did have problems, but ford worked most of them out and now the 6.0 is doing fine and most problems you hear with the 6.0 is because someone chipped the engine and ford would not honor their warranty, there is people out there with over 100,000 miles on some 6.0s and they are trouble free and mine has 30,000 miles on it and it pulls a fifthwheel camper or a 30 ft cattle trailer around here in the hills of TN. and I never had any trouble out of it and it does it better than any of the V10s did .I have alot of friends that still have the V10s some of them like the motor but a big part of them are going to trade for diesels for the pulling power and dont tell me the V10 has what the 6.0 has because I will tell you ,your full of @*#% you can put all the banks crap you want or spend 3500-4500 dollars on a supercharger and it will just barley make the torque a stock 6.0 will on the other hand you can take a stock 6.0 chip it and it will make 750-800 ft lb of torque and that is on a rear wheel dyno and any chip manufactor has this at their websites.

Nope, it's not a Jag V12, because it starts on rainy days
Nope, it's not a Jag V12, because it doesn't leak oil like a good British car should
Nope, it's not a Jag V12, because it doesn't suddenly not run because of Lucas electronic ignition
Nope, it's not a Jag V12, (or any other British car) because it's Lucas electrical system doesn't burn up because they used smaller gauge wire than the fuse that's supposed to "protect" the circuit.
Nope, it's not a Jag V12, because it ... well, darn it, it's a home-grown Ford.
Like I said earlier, this was meant completely as humor, but if some of our visitors would like to show some intellectual capacity and come up with a funny little story too, please feel free.
I won't take it to heart, as I don't have any inferiority issues that some folks seem to be trying to compensate for.
On a lighter note...My wife FELL out of my truck the other day. Ooops! Grace is not one of her strong points!
She was putting it under the car port and she went to get out, missed the step bar and fell a LITTLE ways to the ground. Now keep in mind that the bottom of my door hits my wife around the bottom of her rib cage.
So I get this e-mail....... "Stupid F'n Big Red F'n Truck...BEEEEEEEEEEP!, F'n Stupid Big F'n Tires........BEEEEEEEEP!, Stupid F'n Bars............BEEEEEEEEP!"
So of course being the Smart.......butt that I am, "What did the truck do to you? You missed the step."
Uhmmm, that wasn't smart!
"You and your Big Stupid F'n truck.......BEEEEEEEEEEP!"
She was maaaaaaaaaaad!
