tranny temp gauge installation

Do you just drill and tap a probe into the pan?

Do you have to drop the pan to do so?

Anyone got an installation thread or just a quick explanation of the process.

There are pics floating around here and there, but no, no drilling. There's a test point... you back the plug out, swap it with the sensor, and tighten it down.

haven't had any luck finding a thread.

Anyone know of a thread showing tranny temp installation (location of test point) etc?
