I had Revo's on my 2000. Balance problem resolved only by remounting the tires properly, also had to buy new shocks, steering damper, brakes. Problem is that the Revo's have a yellow dot that must be lined up with the valve stem for best balancing, until I had them re-installed by the yellow dot no balance would hold. I also had in the mean time, to replace all ball joints.
My buddy has deisel and it bouces a lot down the freeway. My 350 has a V-10 and has no bounce. It might be the up front weight of the deisel (if you have one) that makes the excessive bouncing.Just my observation.
Do you have the 18 Inch wheels with the Continental Tires? I have those on my 05 F-350 and they are the worst tires I have ever owned. I don't care what the dealer does the only way they are going to fix your problem and mine is to replace the tires with a different brand.
i have goodyear 20" and it has the bounce (shake) at 48-50 mph on new smooth asphalt. the dealer put 4 new tires and replaced 3 rims and it did not change at all. the dealer has duplicated the bounce and now says it is normal?
My '99 did this worst with some wide rims/tires, and it got better with narrower rims and 265 tires, and is almost gone with new tires on stock rims.
The front end of the truck would go up and down as if both tires were oval (and in synch with each other), at 47 mph.
I have a 4WD/crew/shortbed/v10/auto with 123K miles. It's not bad enough anymore to be annoying, but I suspect it's an inherent shake that will be hard to track down.
