well i have been reading a lot of posts requarding warn hubs and how great they are, i just attempted to purchase a set for my truck and was told that they do not fit the FORD front ends very well, they will pop out of four wheel drive, so i was talked out of the purchase by the salesman.
he mentioned that WARN is in the process of making hubs that do truely fit the FORD axles but they are not available yet.
so all of you who have installed WARN hubs in your truck, do they fit and have they ever poped out of four wheel drive for you ?
Sounds like Bull---- to me , i have warns ,but only for about a month and they work great so far with no problems! I'm sure the others guys in here can blow that story to hell. Mike
I was thinking about getting a pair for my 99' f250. The factory units are getting pretty hard to twist into lock. I know I could just lube them, but the main reason I wanted the Warn set was to fill in the huge gap inside the aftermarket center caps. Will the warn hubs fill that gap?

no they will not fill that gap. i recommend you get a set of closed end caps and have a machine shop cut a hole in them slightly bigger than the hub. i used to work at a tire shop and we had this done a few times with good results.
I Have Warn Premimums On My Truck.
Have Not Had Any Problems At All.
Did A Lot Of Searching On These Forums Before I Bought Them And Not One Single Negative Comment About Them.
They Fit Just Fine And Took Maybe 20 Minutes To Install.

I have a 99' F250sd with Warn Premium hubs. Work great have done some pretty serious hill climbs and a few times off the ground never popped out. They always stayed engaged unlike the factory junk that it came with. Warn premium part number is 38826. You can see them online at warn.com I paid $250 for mine and it took longer to pull the old ones out than it did to put the new ones in. Good luck hoped this helped!
You can install Warn hubs on the SDs without any problems. They are shorter in length than the factory hubs so if you want to run the factory center caps on stock wheels the locking hub will be a little bit recessed in there.
A member of TDS did a step by step pictorial of when he put the Warn Standard Hubs on his SD: -->Click Here<-- for the link.
I have Warn Premium hubs on my SD as part of the SD combo. Love the hubs, work great, never had any issues with them. The stock hubs don't even compare to the Warn Premiums...
I chose just not to run a center cap in the front:
If you are at all concerned with the Warn's fitting, consider moving up to the Milemarker Supreme, part number 449SS. The Milemarker is stronger and more durable than most people need but does provide an alternative to the Warn's for about the same price.
