Hey Guys, My Dad pulled his truck down in the ditch to put the fourwheeler in the back, Well he put it in four wheel drive to get out of the ditch and well his back wheels were spinning, I was standing outside and i didnt know if he put it in four wheel drive or not, well he took off and we hear a very loud Boom. I thought it was the engine at first but that was running good, hes like wow the four wheel drive must not have been enguaged. So we didnt think anything of it. Yesterday he put it in four wheel drive to drive around in some woods, well we thought it was in, we went to put it in four low and it wouldnt go in. So we just continued on thinking it was in 4 high, Well today we really needed four wheel drive and he put it in and went to back up and there was some nasty noises coming from the hubs. We ended up getting out without 4x4 but im guessing its the hubs. What do you guys think, and also who is running warn locking hubs? What goes into switching them out? Thanks
shift on the fly, never get stuck then lock it in 4 and hammer on it without giving it a chance to lock in, if you are stuck flip the switch and then saw the wheel a little, and give it enough gas to just rotate the tires, or lock the hubs by hand. Sounds like time for new hubs.
