I had my Diesel emblem come off the front of my 1990 F-350 tuck. But the good news is that I did find it. Has anyone had this happen? Whats a good method to get it back on so it wont come off again. I'm thinking epoxy. Will this work?
im thinking any kind of mix epoxy would be good. just make sure its mixed good. give it ample time to dry, and only use just enough so it doesnt spread out from underneath the emblem.
Yeah it’s too bad that after almost 20 years it finally fell off. Epoxy wont last half as long. Think about it the tape is made to withstand all the shuddering, bouncing, and shaking of the truck, epoxy will harden very stiff and will come off after enough vibration or if someone bumps the panel wrong. I used the tape on my Lincoln and after 4 years its still not going anywhere.
Regular two side sticky tape from the craft or hardware store would probably work but it is thicker than the OEM stuff and is white instead of gray. Do not know how much the OEM stuff cost, chances are your local "Custom Parts" shop will have something that will work good to. Epoxy may not do to well due to large temperature variation (dissimilar coefficients of expansions) it will crack.
