I am going to have to rewire my engine cause the wiring is corroded. Is there any resistors I need to be aware of or any other little things to stump me on this. Also for the emission relay what size resistors can I put in place to fool the computer?
The coil wires are the main one bad. Shorted to another wire and corroded. I plan on keeping the truck a while, so I would like to make a new harness and get rid of the extra wires for a cleaner look. Looked at replacing both end but still not solve my problem. And I also want to wire it right to make up for components I've moved like the coil and the knock sensor
Sorry, in my last post, I ment EVR not EVP. I always mix the two.
For the EVP(position sensor), it takes a little more to fool the computer. http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=6
^ scroll down the page further. You'll see the drawing with the resistor values on it.
There really aren't many wires you can get rid of. Anyways, good luck!
I will cut the egr and the solenoid wires back off of the engine and hid them in the fender, thanks for the info, got some connectors ordered and plan on the wiring project as soon as I get them
