Sorry I started this thing. I was just concerned for the trucks. Somebody' s gotta watch-out for the trucks in Hollywood. We don't want them defiled. Thanks to jongeers for setting the record straight (no pun intended) on the chronological accuracy of the trucks in the subject movie. Let's move on!
I just ordered a dozen t-shirts that say "My mountain ain't broke"
that is all.

Well in case you haven't, it's a recently released critically acclaimed cowboy movie that's set in Wyoming in 1963 and deals ever so sensitively with a couple of young cowpokes out on the range and the special friendship that they shared (Not that there's anything wrong with that). I've seen a few scenes on TV (Scarborough Country, last night) and in the newspaper and it appears that there are a few classic pickups featured in the movie. I saw a couple fifties Chevys (Not that there's anything wrong with that. Ha!) that were too old looking for 1963 and one Slick Ford. The Slick Ford looked like a '64. Which, of course, is off for a story that takes place in summer '63. It may have been a '63. But either way, it looked too old for the time. I'm just posting to say that I would have been disappointed if they had gotten the trucks right in this movie. I'm glad they got them wrong. The world makes sense.
the main charater who drove the 64 f-100 did not have it untill the late 60's in the movie timeline,
so the use of the ford trucks could be possible
ive only read a little bit of this topic, but i heard someone complaining about the years and conditions of the ford trucks, it seems to all fit in to place,
i ended up seeing the movie with a friend, and i paid close attention to the trucks.
