First of all, I'd like to thank everyone that respected the 'no bashing' requested - which so far has been everyone that posted. Secondly, I'm glad to hear that all of the bashing is just good natured teasing. I drive an explorer and my wife drives a Lumina. I can't understand the design of some things on the exp, and cant understand others on the lumina (like why is the battery UNDER the WW fluid??? - That's just stupid!) But for the most part, they're both very good vehicles. There were some answers that I expected to see and others that I didn't. But thanks again for answering this question in they way that you have. This thread was't intended to be a put down to Chevy, and I'm glad that it didn't turn into one.
Matt
PS - After from the late 60's, the early 90's were my favorite stang's...A buddy has a 94 5.0 5 speed and it's a MONSTER!
I think that everyone can agree that every manufacturer has very good and very stupid designs. No auto maker is ever going to build the perfect vehicle.
when I was teenager I had a 82 ford truck with 302 auto that truck never let me down when your a teenager you tend to get in trouble and gettin away is important (some girls boyfriend, muddin on private property etc.) So I could never Knock a FORD but like he said theres good ones and bad ones appreciate ya!
[/B]I Have Driven Lots Of Trucks, Owned A Few, And They Are All Quite Similiar.
No matter what you drive, it will always give u a lil trouble... I like the style of almost any old truck! They r sweet, but i own a 1984 Ford Bronco II and that little thing will go through almost anything u throw at it... My friends 2002 Chevy Silverado is a nicer truck -- Alot newer -- But mine would go through atleast 10 times the amount of mud or snow! lol
Gloves are off now, bring it on!! j/k To each his own. I like all the mustangs, haven't seen one I wouldn't like to own. Problem is, I can't get a newer one because my wife can't stand any mustang between 1995-2005.
Haha. Go for a classic!
I see a few people replied saying they like the 80s-90s Mustangs and I know they are popular. A couple of my friends have them and love them. I'll just never understand it, but that's what personal opinions are for! But man... that 69... ohhhh I would trade my kidneys for one of those... and... enjoy the car for a bit before I... die.
Good to see people taking this stuff with a grain of salt. I like ragging on people for no other reason other than just to rag on them. Now that I have a Ford, I rag on my dad for having a Dodge (even though I like his Dodge) and he hits me back on my Ford. It's all in good fun.
Dad and I have always considered ourselves Chevy/Mopar guys, but he's owned and enjoyed a Ford or two...
Well, when I got my first Ford ('92 Flareside, reg cab, 302, auto, 2WD... nice truck!) he made me park in the neighbors drive the first time I went to see him. It was all in fun, and even I thought it was pretty funny. But now I get to park the Stang in the drive, so all is good...
