Hey Gang
In my 96' Ive got that 60/40 split bench action going on.I would like to get some seat covers, either that or Im wanting to totally rip em out and throw two bucket seats in there..Is this done pretty easily.figured I could go down to the junkyard and pick up some seats...Thanks In advance for your help
I just picked up some buckets for my 94 from an 01 explorer. There was a 95 sitting there w/o doors and we pulled the driver seat to see if the bolt holes lined up and they did. Just make sure to get the ones out of a 2 door. paid $65 each the driver is power, said they get $150 each for leather/power, it probably depends on where you are at on the prices. I also have a counsol from a another to put in between the seats, mine is a standard, if yours is a auto you may try to score on the whole interior.
You can get seat covers on Ebay from a seller named designcovers (you can search him out).
I just ordered my second set for a Ranger for $69.95.
I like them they fit snug.
When I buy a truck I put them on the seats to keep them nice then take them off to sell it.
I also found seat covers on E-Bay for my 60-40s. The RangerStation has a how to convert your 60-40 to buckets if you want to go that way. Looks simple enough.
Yeah a lot of guys pull the buckets out of an Exploder, bolt them in, put the console out of that same Exploder in it the Ranger is an auto, and then add the overhead console just to top it all off.
Explorer seats are the way to go. i did it and love the power leather seats and center console. I bought me seats on Ebay and the console at a local scrap yard. An easy mod and far superior to the 60/40 seats in my opinion. Besides that i sold my 60/40 seats for $120.00 when I was finished.

Too bad you live so far from me. I am in the process of putting a set of '04 Altima leather seats in my '04 Ranger and I have the like new original seats sitting in my garage (Black and Tan). I was going to put Explorer seats in but all I found were either too old or too high. I got the Altima seats a lot cheaper than the Explorer and they were like new so I decided to go for it. I had to build adapters for the front mounts, new mounts for the rear, figure out the power and seat belt wiring, and correct the mismatched seat belt ends ..... a LOT of work.
