Strange noise?
Hi everybody, I'm new to the site. I have a '97 F350 crew cab long box 4X4 with the 6637 mod and straight pipe. I don't know much about diesels and you guys have helped solve a few problems I've had in the past. But I have a question about a noise I'm hearing. It is really cold here and this is the only time I have heard the noise. While I'm driving eveything sounds great, it is when I let up on the pedal this hollow noise starts. The exhaust noise sounds like a hollow hissing. When I step on the pedal to give it a little juice the noise goes away and the truck sounds like it always does. I have noticed that the temp. gauge never gets above the cold line. I was hoping someone had an idea what this could be. Thanks
