back then, who was doing 80 mph on a traffic filled freeway? Of what I've read here, a line is drawn on originality or modern safety. The question is what side do you want to be on.

I've never said that single circuit systems were patently unsafe, but expressed my opinion of which I'd recommend and why to the original poster who was in the process of updating his brake system. I'm extremely safety conscious and do maintain my vehicles since we race two of them, But I can't honestly say I do that thorough a job as I outlined, I just don't have the time to be that **** with a business and 4 vehicles.
The two support vehicles get their fluids checked when I change the oil, but otherwise they are left alone unless something breaks.

I'm curious how a 12V system is safer than a 6V system. Are you talking headlight brightness or what?

I never said that 12V was "safer" I was refering to updating or moderization to current technology vs pure restoration.

Sorry. I misunderstood you then. You mentioned it in the same sentence as all the other safety upgrades ao I assumed you were categorizing it as a safety upgrade as well.
