1968 Ford F600 brake booster

Hello,

I recently purchased a 1968 Ford F600 with brake booster for air brakes and hydraulic brakes. I was working on the brakes with a friend and I disassembled the brake lines but forgot where the brake line connects to. I wish I had taken photos of how the lines were connected before I disconnected the lines. I hope that one of you are familiar with the brake system I have on my truck. Any help is appreciated.

The two holes are what i forgot. I do recall the bottom hole is connected to the rear brakes but cant remember where the top connects to.

rebuilt booster. the inlet is for brake fluid and the outlet is for air brakes. This booster is mainly use for the trailer with air brakes.

The lines are mostly for air brakes except the back lines are hydraulic.

This is where all lines connects to from The booster, master cylinder, brakes, and air brakes.

I pulled this vacuum booster just in case I fail to use the other booster that came with the truck. Which would be better for me to have the air brake booster or vacuum booster?

This is my truck that I am working on.

Thank you for helping,

Sal

Welcome to FTE.

What you have there is a freak of nature, or perhaps on unnatural act committed on your truck, or at best an odd-ball.

As OEM, I'm pretty sure your truck would have been a vacuum boosted system only.

The home plumbing copper lines--is that the way the truck was when you bought it?

Is this a set up for air brakes on a trailer? What brakes are operated via air on your truck?

Is there a brand name or numbers anywhere on this set up?

It looks, imo, to have been installed in the field, maybe even the back 40, as the fittings are plumbing type from what I can see.

If you like post your VIN, and all the info off the data/warranty plate on the door. (make sure the VIN there matches your title--if not, your door may have been replaced and the original plate lost). We may be able to get it all decoded and see what Ford says was original equipment.

Added after post 3: Is there an engine-mounted air compressor on this truck? Or any compressor?
