That doesn't sound like the torque converter. It sounds like your mule is slipping too much on shifts - the clutches don't have enough pressure to hold them from slipping OR they are worn out. Unless they are worn out, a Sonnax kit will work wonders.
you dont want to run the sonnax kit with a tuner that increases the line pressure this puts too much stress on the tranny, especially a stock one
