'74 360

I have a 1974 360 fe engine in my truck. It has 63,000 original miles. I use it to drive to work and plow occasionally. Right now we are in the winter season in NY. I dont think the engine is sludged up inside. What is the best type or weight oil to use?

I tried to use a search on my topic but havent figured out how to use that feature yet..

5w20,5w30 are all good for that engine

i would use 5w30 or 10w30 for winter.

I run straight 50w in mine year around. In cold weather the 50w sticks to the bearings. My engine sounds better then most newer engines running light oil/sythentic at start up, because its got lubrication at all times. I want to run thick sythentic but i know ill have some bad leaks.
