Great job!! I just finished doing Brazillian Cherry floors in the office for GOMD, have an entire, non-returnable box left, thinking it might be put to some ''other'' good use
Nice going Ed. Why don't you take it to the Pomona Swap Meet on Sunday? I'd love to see it in person. I'll be down there shopping for a new project. You can drive in your truck for $20 and that covers two people as well. Jag
Thanks guys for all the kind words.
AX- To make the holes, I drilled out the hole as close to possible for the 5/16" carriage bolt to go through. Then I got a small square file and filed out the hole to where the carriage bolt would fit. It actually wasn't that bad and I could complete one panel in about 15 minutes. On the bedliner, I used the Dupli-color bed liner. I bought two quarts and the roller kit. I had to put two coats on to fill it in nicely. Pretty straight forward. I liked the Duplicolor because it covered imperfection but wasn't coarse or rough like the Herculiner. The roller was actually easy to roll on and went quickly.
To everyone else who wants to replace the wood. I found that if you put masking tape over the carriage bolts, it's easier to put the washers and bolt on from underneath and you don't need an additional person holding the bolt down. Once the bolts are tightened, simply pull the tape off. Worked out really nice.
