Today I tried to hook up a superchip tuner to my truck, and couldn't get programer to power up. The programmer was tried on another vehicle and was o.k. on it. Also went to autozone, and checker auto, and their scan tool wouldn't work either. Could someone give me some tips on troubleshooting no power to computer scan troubleshooting plug. I had a alarm disconnected, and maybe they messed with the wiring to plug. Could be a breaker at fuse panel???? Please give me any ideas, Would love to get the superchip hooked up. Thanks, Jeff
So what youre saying is I have to work back from the plug to find where the line has ben cut? I was hoping I wouldn't have to take all the wires apart, can you check if there is power to plug with voltmeter? Thanks jeff

It's a 1997 f250 4wd crew cab diesel, 100k miles, never messed with the scan plug, but did have alarm removed when it wouldn't let truck start about a year ago. Jeff Thanks

Hey thanks for looking knight60626, I have my manual but haven't found chart or diagram identifying each fuse. I guess I'll pull one at a time to locate a broken one. Probably a lower amperage one. Thanks again for even looking Jeff

Hopefully you can find yours, If not I will be finding mine tommorow sometime and can post it.
Silly me, the back of the fuse panel has the schematic of all fuses. You learn something everyday. Turns out you were right, the fuse for cig. lighter and diag. scanner was missing in action. I replaced it and all is working now. Thanks for all the help. Jeff
