Well I'm looking at a new 06 F250 SD PSD. My current truck is a 04 F250 SD 5.4. after numerous problems with the ignition system and a new 5th wheel purchase I decided this was the time for a new one. Presently i have a Boss Quick Mount plow system on my 04. I want to keep this unit, however no one can answer the question on if my old frame mounts will work on my new truck. I know that the new units have a new grill and bumper, but did they change the frame up front much ? I know they lost the leaf springs (which makes me worry a bit), but it looks about the same. I dont have a local dealer for Boss, so my dealer had the last one put on out of town. If its an easy switch I'll do this.
OK Guys any help ?? I went and drove 2 different 06 PSD trucks today, but the dealer couldn't answer my question either...I plan to sign most of my life away on monday...
I have a 2005 f250 with the same Boss Plow. It is my understanding that you will need a modified frame mount because of the front spring change made in 2005. The plow frame should fit the the new connector. Best of luck
The shape of the front frame is completely different on the 05-06 versus the 99-04 super duties. However, your plow company (Boss) should have the later mounting plates already in production. I have a Fisher, and the plow and plow frame are the same, just the truck mounting plates are different. Should be the same with Boss.
