Yes it is happening here in Canada as it is in the USA.
V10 Juice 93.4 cents a litre ........... Stink oil 100.9 a litre.
A couple months back gas hit 1.18 a litre and diesel was only 94 cents and I sure had a lot of comments about owning a gasser truck. Not kind ones .
Now if I were a mean spirited man, I could gloat a little over this but that is not my slyle............... well maybe a little.
93 cents a litre works out to about 2.81 per US gal for Americans coming up here and that is with the exchange rate figured in at 1 US dollar = 1.20
Can.
When I got my first diesel in 1994, Gas was 60 cents a litre and diesel was 40 cents. Who ever would have thought this would have happened.
Today gas here in Western Masschausetts is between $1.95 & $2.11. Diesel is running about $2.79.
Tonight, I just filled up with 93 for $2.15. It is alot better paying $50 for a fill up than $80. But it sure would be nice if it were back to $30 when I baught this truck way back in March of 2003.
I got gas yesterday for 1.67 a gallon. I cheated a bit though. Our grocery stores give you .10 off a gallon for very $50 you spend there. So at $100 a week in groceries (4 in my house, incl. 2 boys 5 & 8 that don't stop eating) we rack up the savings pretty quick. They cut you off at the pump at 30 gallons so last night I filled my 38 gal. tank for $55. I haven't done that in years.
Wow, looks like fuel is dropping in the US big time and that is fine for me because I love to travel down there. Booze is so cheap compared to Canada so I try to save even more by drinking more. Just kidding, but it is a novelty to buy beer and spirits for almost 1/3rd of what we pay but the main reason we love it down there are the people are so friendly
Hey Charlie. I have been making my own wine for almost 19 years. I remember because my wife was pregnent with my son who is 18.
I have made it with grapes from scratch but now I like the Costco Kits. Good grape concentrate , all the corks, labels, and shrinkwraps included. I only label and shrinkwrap wines we give as gifts. I have an electric motor filter and I have a glass of Merlot with me as I type. Down in my wine room I have 4 kits on the go. That is 20 gal that will be ready for Christmas. We do whites and reds but drink mostly reds. Here we been emailing for a year and never knew we made wine.
Latest thing for wine is this coaster with a magnetic field . You put your wine bottle on it and it has the same effect as 2 years aging. This thing works. It is fantastic and I was a skeptic until I tried it. My wife, my parents, my friends, everyone tastes a huge difference. It takes 30 minute to take a wine from tasting "new" to tasting terrific.
Do a search for Wine Cellar Express. I paid 60 bucks Can for mine but it is worth every penny. take care, Charlie, and I don't feel bad high jacking a thread I started and we are almost on topic. V10 Juice.............Wrenchtraveller Juice..............sweet.
good juice though my brother and i just did 20 gals from grapes, morlot, this years melows the family drinks last years. best darn v10 fuel going.for the driver that is
