Computer/MP3 Gurus.....
Here is what I want to do.............
I just bought the latest Joe Satriani DVD....
I want to put the DVD soundtrack to my Dell MP3 Player....How can I do this??? I have tried several things but I can't seem to copy the audio to the player.
Can anyone help me with this???

I did what you want to do with "chicago live on a&e". I've got realplayer plus [a premium program 12$ a year] which lets you change the format of any media file. Any media player that can do this is fine.
To get your dvd into the puter I have used [for backups] two freeshare programs from download.com #1 dvd decrypter #2 dvd shrink3.2. These do as their name says,decryps the dvd to save to file, it then splits the audio and video into 2 seperate folders. You can use shrink to backup the copy and burn a new one.
For transfering to your player, the format of the audio folder would need to be changed to mp3 or wma and adjust the quality for the size of the file to fit into your player.
