I put on the Borla headers, about 5 years ago. Kind of pricey, but they gave the beast more torque in the midrange 1,800 to 2,800 rpm. The SD will now run from it's former self. No question about the amount of power added. Also, for those types, it's a lot louder with a Flowmaster and a 4" tailpipe.
I will be able to add to this discussion after the first weekend in December...
I will be installing the whole banks powerpack with ottomind and transcommand that weekend. Paid 2170 for the whole shebang and I sure hope it’s worth all of it.
I have been doing research on the whole thing for the past couple months and if you really do read everything banks has on their website about what each component does then it does make sense to get it even the ottomind. The only thing I don’t like about it is the oiled air filter which I will not be using because of possible maf sensor problems and bad experiences with k&n.
While we are on the supercharger topic has anyone actually looked into the whipple supercharger. It just seems like a much better system then any centrifugal charger.
I have been researching this for a couple of years, myself. The Whipple looks more like a real supercharger than does the ones Kenne Bell sells. However, the differences in their construction sway me over to the KB.
1).Whipples are cast, KB's are billet.
2) Both are made in Sweden. Autorotor makes the KB and is the parent company of Whipple's manufacturer, Lysholm.
3). Lobe count nad pitch are greater on the KB than the Whipple, ergo more boost under lesser rpms on the s/c's drive gears.
But, you go with what spins your wheels. I have never heard a bad thing about either.
Twin screws are much better than centrifugals in my opinion for low-end yanking. At 2 grand you are fully loaded.

WOW!!!!! I was just going to start a thread asking the differences! Yer a mind-reader, man!
Well wait...actually those differences raise more questions that should really be in thier own thread. So...........
