Looking for REAR cab corner patches of a '48.
The ones from DC are not even shaped close to original.
Northern Classic does not list Rear Cornes.
Any other options for new rear cab corners?
Reamer
I too found the dc to be carp, and had to be reworked a lot. The rear panels came from the FTE sponsor Blue Oval and I found them to be real near perfect. They were coated in black epoxy. I think I will post a pic of the left rear ( gallery,Body Work) to show. I used NO filler the panel came out so close. There are 3 heavy primer/sealer coats.
Reamer, mine is a 56, I just thought ,perhaps the quality might be the same for different years from the same supplier. I have done rears on the 48-52 in the past but I am not really certain who the mfr was as I bought from a local supplier if vintage Ford parts. The corners I used at the time were of high quality and fit perfect. Direct sheet metal rings a bell though. Good luck in your search .
Had a nice conversation with EMS sheetmetal. They had no photo, but described the '48 cab corner very well and I have ordered one to verify. Sounds quite accurate. Thanks to Chuck at Chuck's Trucks (203 288 2769) for the lead
