352 hard to start

If you sprayed water on the starter, it's no good. They shouldn't heat up like that. I always keep the reciept on rebuilt parts. It's awful how they say this stuff is "rebuilt", it's "cleaned up and painted " and re-sold, I swear!

Today I Put Another Napa Rebuilt Starter On.cut A Big Load Of Green Oak Firewood And The Truck Started Fine.brought The Wood Home And Unloaded And Later Went To The Store For A Six Pack Of Beverages.b-sed With A Few Friends And Ten Minutes Same Problem .the Engine Would Barely Turn Over .luckily I Was Parked On A Hill.the Starter I Got Today Had A 3 Yr. Warranty.for 8 More Bucks I Could Have Got One With Lifetime Warranty But As Luck Would Have It They Did Not Have It In Stock.he Said He Could Have It Monday But I Needed The Truck Today.where Can You Buy A Brand New Starter From?napa Cannot Get Them.think I Will Put A Hand Crank On It. That Is More Reliable Than The Hillside Starter That I Now Have .any Suggestions Greatly Appreciated.

What about cables? Seems to me that if you've got just a little drag in a starter from it being too hot that perhaps bad cables would create enough resistance to keep things from turning over fast enough.

Think I Will Check All Cables And Connections And Maybe Replace.especially The Solenoid Connections Could Need A Good Cleaning After 40 Years.good Idea ,don't Know Why I Didn't Think Of That.thanks.
