I was wanting to wire lights down the running boards. I was wanting to wire them in so when the clearance lights are on, and when the door lights are on they will light up. Which wire can I use in a accesible location for the door lights. And am I correct to assume that I can tap into the trailer wiring to the back in the frame rail? Thanks for any input.
For your clearance light feed, use the plate light wire. It is a single wire so you dont have to cut open any harneses. And use LED lights on the running boards because they draw very little, so you can run alot of them. Check out the new Truck-lite 33 series LED lights. You drill a 7/8" hole and push the lights in and they are just one bright LED and they sit flush to the board.
look them up on Truck-lite's web site. truck-lite.com. The part numbers for the grommet mount lights are 33050R and 33050Y. Truck-lite came out with these lights about 6 months ago and the ambers about 1 month ago.
Finally got them hooked up. I put optronics 6 led bulbs, 5 of them down the side just above the running board, looks pretty spiffy. Lights up real nice.
Does anyone know where to find some white LEDs. All i saw was red. I wanted to install a few in the bottoms of my doors, and tie them into the interior light circuit. Wow Meriden and Wallingford, I found some other people in CT who read this forum. Never thought i would see anyone. I'm from Madison, and it's nice to see someone local on FTE.

White LEDs are alot of money. White is hard to make. I have clear lights on my running boards that light up amber. Is that what you are looking for?
Steve
Im looking for something like a headlight color. Be it amber or white. What are we talking for alot of money though. Obviously not $12 dollars like the red ones huh
I have clear 19 series lights on my running boards. They blend in with the running boards when the lights are off, but light up real nice when the lights are on. Broncoguy89 stop and see me, next time you are in the area. Take 691 to exit 3, Take a left at the end of the exit. 1.25 miles on the right, first right after the Chevy dealership, take a right, and we are the whole left hand side of the road. It is Atlantic Star Trailers, 405 Industrial Ave, Cheshire Ct 06410. Thanks
Sreve
I have seen white, go to truck supply stores and you will probably find them. We have truck pro and oklahoma truck that carries them here. Or truck-lite website might have them on there.
