I don't get very good mileage.
13 empty and 8 towing. I haven't gone through one tank yet on the new stuff so I can't answer that one.
I can pull 24,000 gross up a 6% grade and only have to shift down once.
We put some air horns on my buddy's truck and I am about to get one too. We got it off ebay, it was cheap but it screamed, you will be able to install it your self, its not hard, just conect the power to the power to the horn and the ground to a ground and mount the horns and compressor. I know that you can get big ones that may be a little more harder to install, all depends on what you want.
Just wondering if someone has some nice sounding air horns, to compliment my WW, and where to get them, what kinda of installation..price?
Theres a few photos of my installation of a set of Grover air horns HERE on page 1 & 2. The Grovers are sweet!
I took my time and installed everything over the period of 3 weekends. I had the local machine shop shear and bend the metal for the brackets. I only had to drill one hole for the entire installation.
I had my tank and brackets powder coated before I installed mine.
Great info Heat ...thanks! Noticed your from Phoenix...undercarriages probably stay pretty clean out there...nice! Out here in NH everything eventually turns brown underneath due to road salt...ughh!
