4-bolt main or not ??
Hi guys,the site is awsome.i have just gotten a dove a block and I am trying to find out how I can tell if it is a four bolt main or not.I have the oil pan off and this is my first time seeing the inside (ha ha ha)and I was wondering how do I tell.I have searched and read and I just can't find a definate answer.

Look at main caps 2, 3, and 4 (the ones in the middle). There will be either two or four bolts holding the caps down.
Also, jot down the casting codes on the crank. This might give you access to more background on the engine's origins.
