Remote Keyless Entry Problem
Hi, how are you?
I have a 97 F-250 HD Crew Cab w/ stock Keyless Entry....
Anyway, the Ford Remote Keyless Entry "Box" is broke! Therefore, not allowing my power locks to work! After having power locks for a long time, it could get annoying. I cannot find this "box" anywhere! The only place that I can get it from is Ford, and they want $450.00 for the box....
Does anyone have one, or know where I can get one?
The part number off the box is F3VF-15K602-AC
Ford said that any box out of a 95-97 HD F-SERIES Crew Cab would work.
This box is located under the drivers side dash to the right of the fuse panel...
It is easy to get at (two screws) it has 3 wire harness connectors, and an antenna connector....
Any info that anyone knows, will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

I went to www.car-part.com and plugged in your truck model. I tried "dashpanel" and searched in Illinois, and there was one place that had a 97 XLT when I selected over 8500 GVW. There where more 97's when I plugged in under 8500 GVW.
You may want to call some of these places up, and see if the trucks they have, had keyless entry. You may also want to do a search in some nearby states if they are not too far away. Look for something generic like a fender or something common, as a lot of the junkyards will not take the time to list little obscure things like keyless entry modules. I would try to find every 95-97 in the junkyards in your area, and call to see if they will go out and look to see if the truck had keyless entry.
