If you have trouble finding new screws like I did, you can get them and the star washers in stainless steel from Gardner-Wescot...

The Eastwood Company has a special tool that kinda looks like a C-Clamp to remove the pins...

great info thanks. I took a look and my hinges are also just stitch welded as you say. The upper hinge is tucked under a piece of sheet metal a bit but with all the good guidance here i have lots of options to try. Wow what a great resource this forum is, I am just getting started, much more learning to go..thanks again!
