Compression test adapter

I am having no luck finding an adapter for my compression tester to test my diesel. Anyone have any resources to help? Thanks, Scott.

NAPA or Snap On should have the adapter to screw into the glow plug hole.

Is your compression tester capable to handle1000psi, your standard car tester will not handle it........

Snapon may charge as much for the adapter as these guys do for the whole setup.

My tester will handle 600 psi. Why in the world would I need 1000 psi??? Max stock compression is 440 psi.

Well your tester may do the job as required........but the compression is up around 500 for most engines with under 200K on them. If your quoting the Ford shop manual numbers they are lower than actual readings.

If your handy with a welder try making an adapter from an old GP..... or the 5.7 Chebby adapter will work.........
