Decent used 3.0's should be readily available at most junkyards; might be a cost effective option.

Yeah, maybe you'll get lucky (if someone else hasn't already) and find one that was rear-ended soon after it's purchase, low mileage, and in good condition.

I will start searching junkyards monday morning for a used motor. What other years will fit into my truck?

Today I finally picked up my rebuilt engine from a local place I found. With some help from a few friends I started to dismantle the engine. After 4 hours we had everything apart and the motor ready to be pulled with the exception of the highest bolt on the bellhousing. It was giving me a hard time and I was tired so I decided to call it a day. Hopefully tomorrow I can get this finished up and have a running truck again. Also, there is one more thing that needs to be done. The fuel supply line for the engine. How does it come apart? Is there a special tool I need?
