I have 00 ex 7.3 engine 4x4. The mods are KN cold air system, Predator @ 60hp setting, 4 inch exhaust turbo back, HX croosover oil prssure hose.
I recently installed the following gauges, pyro, boost, and trans gauges. At 2k rpm cruising speed the pyro reads 600 deg, and the boost pressure never go up over 4 psi. Giong up hill the boost is at 9 psi then down to 4 psi again. First question, is this normal or what can I do to get more boost. All The clamps to the intercooler are tight. The next question is what is the advantage of having a higher boost pressure and how does it affect other components of the 7.3 engine.
Ordered the gauges and pillar from Diesil Manor, and thier instruction and service is awesome. The rest I bought them the sponsors of this site, except the KN ORW gave me a good price.
WOT doesnt necessairly mean hitting the rev limiter. WOT= Wide Open Throttle. usually when you are WOT, the engine is spinning pretty fast. stock PSD's are rev limited at 3500 rpm, but its hard to get there without shifting in an automatic.
