Bed swap

Sorry to post two different times but I also have a question on swapping beds. Will a 79 long bed fit on a 76 long bed? Are there any major differences? Thanks in advance!

the only difference is the gas filler hole and neck. the one on the 77-79 has a square door and the 73-76 has a round hole with a screw on cap. the filler hose is different too. the one from the 77-79 has a better angle on it and will take gas better

Mine has dual tanks on it and the one I plan to swap has a single any ideas on how I might could work that? The bed I have is a flat bed with two side boxes on it with dual tanks. If the swap works out then I won't be needed that heavy thing.

If you are going from a 79 to a TWO WHEEL DRIVE 76 it will fit. If you are talking about an F-250 the bolt holes will NOT line up. The F-250 has a narrower frame and will require you to drill new holes in the bed. Im not sure about the F-150 4x4. Other than the holes it will fit fine.

There's a bed on Ebay search: "1979 Ford truck". The seller has the applicable years...sounds like the previous post - 2WD...
