PO 603

I have a 2002 F250 Super Duty Truck Power Stroke that i a am running a Pegasus Programmer, when i have my foot in it in 3rd gear the EGT has went as high as 1400.I turned the fuel up from 0.9 to 1.2,do you think this would cause the Po 60 603 code.I have 5 inch exhaust,it is recomended to turn up the fuel pressure.I was also hopping the EGT would go down.

Your programmer is causing the code and you can safely ignore the code. I'm not sure what you're adjusting. The only way to change the fuel pressure on these trucks is to adjust the spring or add something to the FPR. We don't have a fuel injection pump like the Dodge, so you can't crank up the fuel pressure with a programmer.

Fuel Pressure

Since the fuel pressure can't be adjusted,do you have an idea of how to lower my EGT,or could my programmer gauge be bad.

What do you have for an exhaust and other mods Jerry? There are ways to lower EGT's but we need to know more about your truck to begin with.

The only things that are done to my truck are the Gryphon programmer,KnN air kit and 5 inch exhuast with no cat.The truck topped a long hill at 55mph with a 44ft box trailer in stage one at 1450 EGT.Is it possible that the EGT is WRONG on the programmer gauge.Without the trailer the EGT has bine up to 1325,and on stage 2 it has went as high as 1450!
