65 ford (352)

i recently bought a 65 f100 have not seen the truck , the owner say the vaule cover has , cobra lamonz on it ? any one have any idea of what after market cover that is ? or if ford made one for the 352.

Ford Racing parts has a FE valve cover in their catalog that says Cobra Le Mans on it. BTW Le Mans is the famous 24 hour endurance race in France.

The originals carry a S7MS-6A582-A Shelby part number. There were a few different castings of these also. These came in a black wrinkle paint finish. Some had "Cobra LeMans" on one line and some the "Cobra" was on top and the "LeMans" underneath. The current FMS offerings will have no Shelby part number and are cast overseas. The originals have the number inside the cover. Worth a pretty penny too! All FE valvecovers are pretty much interchangeable. Rockers and brake boosters permitting....
