Stupid question
All,
What does the "M" stand for?
How many pistons does a V8 have?
Can I put a Chevy engine in my Ford Truck?
How many times will we have to hear this?

>someone once told me FE was Ford Engine.
You are correct. FE stands for Ford Engine and NOTHING else. NOT Ford Edsel or Ford Engineering. In 1958 the FE series big-block was introduced as the 332 ci V8 and ended in 1976.
1978 F-150 flareside. Primitive by todays standards but she was a jaw dropper back then. :-staun

Not a stupid question but maybe rhetorical because nobody really knows for sure, no mater how long this thread gets. Don’t believe everything you read, research it.

I dont think one is anymore right than any other. as long as you all know what you are talkin about use the intitals
. You can think about it in your mind as anything you want it to be, maybe Flying Eagles, or perhaps Mary Lou May for the M but just use the M and everyone will be happy.
Unless that is you use M for Mistake, that would make some people a little irate
