Here's what you do. Go to the book store (or library) and read some history books on Ford engines like I did. I bought a book from the book store on Ford Engine Parts Interchange. In it (and all other books I've read) it clearly points out that the ONLY thing "FE" stands for is FORD ENGINE. This is one topic that really irks me because all people have to do is READ the history books and they tell you in black and white.
1978 F-150 flareside. Primitive by todays standards but she was a jaw dropper back then.
Ford Engine Parts Interchange is wrong and George Reid dosen't know jack about FE's. Got to give him credit though, he really does like them! You have to find out how those that say they know really know. George is just on one side of the FE camp (and a small side). You need to do more reading, like find something from Ford Motor Co.

You've gotta remember that people write those book too, like us. So it can be anything they want it to be. I've yet to see Henery Ford's Modern translation Ford Dictionary of abbreviations, but when i do, i'll let u know
