Intake Leak?

I recently replaced a head gasket on my 360, and now I have another oil leak (I know the rear main is bad)that I'm having trouble finding.
I've replaced the valve cover gasket twice (ensuring the cover was flat etc) and I still get a drip on my exhaust manifold that I can see and smell.
My question is this: I think it's probably an intake leak, but how could I have an oil leak there and the leak not affection how the truck runs? I would expect a corresponding air leak with the normal rough idle, crappy running engine that comes with it. Any ideas?

Thanks

Intake Leak?

Your leak would be at the rear of the intake where it meets up with the block (common place for a leak). It leaks oil, but does not give you a vacuum leak. Crawl under the truck and look at the rear of the motor, the oil is usually running down the outside of the bellhousing. The only permanent solution is to remove the intake and reseal it. I recommend using only a thick bead of silicone on the front and rear of the intake - no gasket. Has worked for me many times.

Intake Leak?

Ron, I had the same thing happen to me. I had to do the intake twice, and one valve cover 4 times to get it right. I put the valve cover on a straight edge board and got it straight and flat. That did it. Do not over tighten the bolts.

Intake Leak?

Before you spend a lot of time check out the oil pressure sending unit behind the manifold.
