Yes usroute66 you are correct.

BTW: I have never liked calling it a dummy valve. I have used faux valve as it seemed more descriptive but, I also felt it seemed a bit elitist as well.

As it turns out, I guess dummy (an imitation, copy, or likeness of something used as a substitute) is still the best terminology.

Customz, it seems that since we have the answer to the original post you are going to have to get creative to rid yourself of the dreaded WART syndrome.

The dummy valve will work ONLY on an 05 without mass air. On anything else, its worthless.

On an 03/04, you don't need it if you aren't california emissions because the codes won't throw a CEL. If you have an 06, you are just plain screwed unless you want to go to more trouble.

Calm down, it is only a single valve with multiple ports.

And besides, for every one they put on...we can figure out a way to maim, rape, and remove it

So what doses this mean? From one of the International big shot VP interviews:

The new 6.4L Powerstroke will have dual EGR systems with separate coolers

Same thing you said? Just different?

EGR Bypass

Has anyone thought about just jumping the wires on the plug instead of buying another EGR? Is this even possible? Just not into spending the cash for a new one I am not going to use. I also suffer from the 4-8lbs of boost loss with it disconnected.
