Hmmm?
Take a look for '96 style covers. I found that after trying to purchase a tonneau for my '67 that a '96 fit perfect, AND they were not the outlandishly priced "special order" deal that most places put them under since it's old. My local place measured bed, compared it to their chart and it was a perfect fit for a reasonable $199(just like all the rest are priced here) installed.
Now, granted a hardtop might not be as lucky, but worth a shot since these beds are straight sided like the '96 years.

Your in my side yard, I'm in North Canton!
Hey MustangFox, put some pics up in your gallery, your truck sounds pretty bad....anyways, i bought my tonneau from checker pro http://www.checkerpro.com/ . They can custom make you one for a reasonable price.
A man I met years ago in Texas had put a hard cover on his 66 F100. He told me it was the same as the late 80s/ early 90s trucks. I believe it was an A.R.E. hard cover. I am using the sportmaster soft tonneau on my trucks for now, but I am going to replace them with a different kind later on. Good luck and let us know what you find, John.
I beleive the beds are about the same size. I put a chrome tail gate protector on my 67 that came off an 89 f150 when I was hauling around ladders. It fit perfectly. As did some bed rail caps I test fitted. Not a tonneau of course but I think it is further evidence that looking at a later model might be the way to go, like everyone here says. Let us know how the search goes. I am looking into a hard tonneau cover down the road.
