As the temps. are changing outside, I find myself (ok my wife REALLY wants me to post this) using the heated seats, more 'n' more. Question is as follows.....
After startup, and we head out on our way, w/ the push of the buttons the seats get warm. Afterwards I shut the engine off, and do our errands, then climb back in the truck only to start it up and feel that the seats are STILL on ('cause they didn't get turned off before exiting the truck.) So, is this normal for them to stay on even AFTER turning key off and restarting?, Her Explorer Limited seats turn off as expected.
Do I dare worry about this, it's really not a problem, more or less just curious if this is protocol on these trucks?

Key on, warming button pushed, seats heat up...
Key OFF, re-enter vehicle, key ON... seats warm up from previous push of the button. (Normal ????)
Mine stay on until you puch the button to toggle em back off. This is a little bit of a pain since I can not easily see if the pass seat is off or on.
On mine when the truck is off the seats are off, regardless of if the seats are on or off.
We don't mean that the seats stay on when the key is off, we mean that they will be on when you start the engine the next time. You don't have to hit the button to turn them on.
Every time I inadvertantly hit the switch, my butt lets me know in a couple of minutes! Good option (my better half asked for it too!) and it does stay on until you turn it off.

I kind of figured as much. But when reading the first post I was questioning if he meant when the truck was turned off, so pointed out that my seats are off when the truck is off
Seatwarmers are good and all, but I'd rather see an optional seat cooler package, to help me out in those summer months so I'm not getting out of my truck with a huge wet spot on my back.
