I am very confused on how my seats work in my truck. They seem to have a feature where they move back and give more room for egress when the truck is turned off. When the truck is started, the seats move forward into a predetermined possition. That is all great. However, I stopped the truck this weekend and went to roll down the window after the truck was off, so I needed to turn the key back on to adjust the window. When I turned the key on, I was pushed way forward, and the seat height was changed. Nothing near what I would ever have set it for. The key set is the same keys I have been using to drive the truck since I have owned it. Is this normal, or is something wrong with the seat operation?
wonder if you pushed one of the seat buttons on the door.
I think on mine there is a 1 and a 2. So wonder if you accidently pushed one of those.
I think that is what happens because I did the same thing.
Please the seat like you want - height, tilt, distance etc, the press and hold the 1 seat button at the front of the arm rest for a second or two. That should reset it for you.
Shows how familiar I am with the truck, I know the car has seat setting for my wife and for me, I don't rememeber them on the truck. I will have to check it out.
On my F150, I had buttons 1 and 2 on the button panel on the side of the seat. I was always accidentally resetting my damn seat position. I was happy to get rid of that "feature" when I bought my F350.
Well, since my wife has driven my truck less than 10 times in 15 years of owning diesel trucks, she really dosn't need a setting. Probably why I have never researched the 1/2 button. Where is it? I use the mirror fold function all the time, as well as the towing mirror extend. Just have never noticed a seat setting selection, probably sets the radio and other personal choices per the driver?
