Hi everyone, This looks like an awesome forums site. This is my first post, and I've got a question that might be a little dumb. I bought my 05 X last night and think the tires are a little small for the vehicle. It is an XLT 4X4. Can I put taller tires on the stock rims without lifting the vehicle and making it look like I jammed the tires into the wheel well, or do I have to lift it?

I've put 285 Bridgestone Dueler AT REVOs on mine. They are a great tire and the bigger size fills in the wheel well much better. But some guys have gone to even bigger tires. Here in Maine, we can not increase tire size more than two notches if you ABS brakes, and no lifts either.

ditto here w/the revo's no mods needed, didnt affect abs, speedo etc.
285/75-16D BFG A/T Stock rims, no sweat. Even though they are D rated they are rated the to the same rate as many of the E rated tires, plus...they are BFG's.
I installed V springs in the front which picked it up 1.75". With 295-75-16's on 16x8
rims, I get a slight rub at full turn - the edge of the tires are hitting the fender liners.
