Question torque spec on u-bolts

i was wondering if somebody could tell me where
i can get the torque spec's for the you bolts after
replacing the leafs.

what kind of truck do you have?...regardless, the torque wrench you most probably have goes up to 150 ftlbs and would start there

I'm not sure of the spec, but it's pretty high to be sure. I'd guess somewhere between 100 and 200 would be fine. Don't go all crazy with the snipe, that's a waste of effort.

i have an 87 for f-150 4x4. and i have a torque wrench
that goes 250lbs. thanks guys.

according to my haynes manuel f100,150,250,lightning,bronco 75-100 ftlbs...over 8500 gvw 250/350 150-210ftlbs

i forgot to mention it is recommended to replace the ubolts when serviced

[B]hey got the springs replaced man does the truck ever ride better than
it did. i torqued the bolts to 110lbs. my haynes book said 75 to 115. so thank
to all for the info

when torquing new u bolts you should lightly coat them with oil and torque them 75-90 foot pounds of torque torquing dry wont give you a true reading. also after you have driven a couple hundred miles retorque them there is such athing as to much torque
