Interesting thread! Now I have something else to check!
This is interesting, and I had no idea this was something I had on my truck! I will have to check it out this afternoon when I get off work just to see where it is and what shape it is in!

Texhawk I had the same thing happen to mine....after it overheated a few times and spewed hot fluid everywhere and I believe the heat caused the plastic to crack. I ran my truck without it for 4 months/10k miles.

rubber grommet
bedwards said that the air filter minder plugs into a rubber grommet in the back. I just checked mine and it was laying loose in the back of the hole where it was supposed to go. It's all in tact, but won't "plug in" in the back.
I had not checked it since the dealer changed the air filter 6 weeks ago. I'm guessing the rubber grommet fell out???
