Customer Relations number??

Anyone have the Ford Customer Relations number? I've searched and searched and cannot find it here. Plus my numbers are all in my truck, which is sitting at the dealer for 4 days now with no status.

Thanks

oK smart-alec. Your 5 second search netted the better business bureau...not Ford Customer Relations.

Well...they wanted to know what they could do for me. I told them I wanted them to extend my warranty. The guy puts me on hold for 15 minutes and comes back to tell me they will extend my warranty. They are going to give me the 5yr 100,000 mile with the $100 dollar deductable after 36,000 miles. I say to the guy...don't I already have this? He admits it...and says yes.
I want a REAL warranty extension.
He puts me on hold.
He comes back and tells me the "service manager" at the dealer my truck is at, is going to call me to see if we can get the $0 deductable warranty for me.
Yea...right.
I then told Ford, that I not only own 4 Fords, but my wife's grandpa worked for Ford his entire life. And...our Ford loyalty is fading fast, along with our Fords going by by for another brand real soon if this is not resolved.
The guy says...oh, well be sure to tell that to the dealer service manager when he calls. I said, no..I'm telling YOU...FORD.
5 mins later...the dealer calls...it's the service advisor..."hey buddy!...how are ya?!...I got good news for you!! Your truck is done! Wanna shoot on down and get it?"

What a change of attitude! wow. I'm not a number anymore...now I'm a customer?
What was wrong with my truck this time? The PCM brain went dead, the starter was replaced, the valve cover was fixed, et al.

When I had Ford on the phone...I asked the guy if he had my oasis report in front of him. He said yes. I asked him how many times my truck has been in for repairs. He stopped counting at 9 when I interruped him with laughter and then added up his $100 dollar deductible....man...that's about a thousand dollars...out of my pocket. So if you own a lemon 6.0...this is the prize?
They are not going to give me the extended warranty unless I really back them into a corner. One phone call won't achieve this.
Has anyone had any luck with this route?

I had the same problems with my 2004 Harley Davidson F250 4X4. It was the best truck I owned when I purchased it in April 2004. Now Ford owns it again. They bought it back last month and even paid me for the receipted aftermarket items I put on it. You may need to go through the same process.

Tell me more. Did they give you what you paid or just bluebook? How do I initiate a buyback...?

Yes please give me some insight on how you did it. Mine has been at the dealership since May 25 with no motor and I am having to fight a long expensive battle with ford.

dogdude, Do you think running your programmer in extreme mode had anything do with some of your issues?

I don't run a "programmer" in "extreme" mode. So..no.

I usually have my Edge on level 2 "tow" mode which nets me better mileage and easier towing...and I had a transmission flash to tighten up my shift points to prevent slippage and wear under a load. I tow a 5th wheel.

No "extreme" tuner here. The Edge has gauges and I can actually keep track of my temps and keep them low so there is no issue overall. I'm 36 years old with two toddler baby seats in my back seat. No speeding or racing here. No high RPM dragging on Saturday nights. No hard throttle, except to pass at normal speeds....soooo
Where did you get the idea that I run a "programmer" in "extreme" mode? Where did you get this?

I don't think that my Edge and tranny tune has anything to do with my:
1. Starter going bad
2. EGR valve defects
3. EBP Recalls
4. Reverse Planetary gear recalls
5. Diesel smell in cab
6. Idle and surging problems caused probably by the 16 different flashes the dealer has "programed" in...with numerous broadcasts about them...plus a recall suspension in August according to my dealer...because of that last flash... due to these symtoms...et al.
7. Popping and steering malfunctions
8. CEL lights with various sensors going bad (also recalled by Ford later)
9. Black smoke one day and grey the next with power loss (symptoms of the recall - see broadcasts put out by Ford)
10. Coolant reserve cap defective (dealer said the spring went bad)
11. Charge Air Duct Tube recall
12. Wire Chaffing recalls
ETC ETC ETC

9 times in the shop from when I had 4,000 miles on the truck. Truck was stock until I had over 25,000 miles on it. I have 34,000 now. Pretty bad record for a new truck. Period.

And...aren't you hardcore Ford people at the least bit concerned by all the problems with the 6.0?

I'm not the only one...look around. Heck...I can walk next door and talk to my neighbor who had HIS 6.0 bought back. And I live in the sticks. It's common. Even guys at the gas station who I run into with 6.0s tell me of THEIR problems...and these are complete strangers at the fuel pump. Talk to the service advisors at my dealerships. (or at any dealer for that matter) One guy has the turbine wheel from a 6.0 on display on his desk...the other at a different dealership was telling me about the numerous buybacks there.
Please...get over it...these trucks have issues. And that's the truth.
The truth has a way of coming out. I've seen product loyalty before...even me...my wife's grandfather worked at Ford his whole life...my wife has always had Fords...I own 4 Fords...but this blind loyalty is equal to the Jone's coolaide drinkers already.
A vehicle in the shop 9 times for serious issues in a 34,000 mile period is bad. No way to sugar coat it or blame uninvolved variables unless you have a career with Ford and fear for your job if you blow the whistle.

Maybe I got the idea from your previous posts

01/21/05
I just had the Edge digital Juice chip/controller put in to my PSD. When I put the controller (on the fly) into the "extreme" mode and hit the peddle...

2/15/05
SCT + Edge Stacked Observations:
Got my SCT XCalibrator today and flashed my truck for Combo use. It shifts much firmer and is obviously better. Then I turned the Edge off to stock and flashed the SCT to level 2 (horsepower) and I noticed the truck is louder on idle in drive. It runs really good and will redline at 4000 RPM before it will shift to 5th when I get on it. I haven't tried level 3 (torque) yet.
I also noticed that because of the shifting tune, the EGT's are running cooler with and without the Edge on. The Edge tends to get the EGT's up if it is shifting too soon and the RPM's are lower. Because with the Edge alone, the shift patterns are set to stock, they shift quicker and the EGT's run hotter. With the SCT and different shift pattern, I noticed the EGT's don't get up to where they would before.
So far so good.

YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAWWWW! look out people...6.0 comin through.

02/15/05
My 2004 F-350 6.0 runs great and is the absolute best vehicle I've ever owned. The only truck I'd prefer over it, would be the F650

02/15/05
Any person, who can admit the truth...knows that the Ford 6.0 is the nicest, best looking, most functional, quietest and coolest diesel pickup there is.

02/18/2005
The day after flashing my truck with the stack tune SCT/EDGE my truck started having serious problems...
... I'm not sure if there are any other people out there with this issue after using the Edge or SCT...if there is, please contact me. I called EDGE yesterday and they were JERKS! I hung up on the technical advisor when he started getting rude with me. Forget that. Makes me want to take that Edge unit and ship it right back to those jerks

You know, all I asked is...do you think running your programmer in extreme mode has anything to do with your issues?

No one but you has said a word about being a hardcore Ford fan or blind loyalty. Don't know why you even brought that up.

Get over it? There is certainly nothing for me to get over. I recognize that there are good and bad 6.0s as you well know. So don't be a smart alec.

And you are correct...the truth does have a way of coming out. Just read your own posts.

Speaking of truth, I am sure that you have been truthful with Ford about all your mods...yes?

dodude2003...it was not my intent to throw rocks at your story...there was no need for you to start chunking them at me.
