the overlay harness included in the Ford Racing kit should eliminate the need to screw with the wiring, no?
that is correct. There are only 6 injector connectors on the overlay harness because the two remaining injectors run off of the stock truck injector harness.
Thanks alot for the help, EPN. As well as everyone else..
One last thing, if the wiring was messed with a bit originally to convert to the Mustang computer.. would this overlay harness not eliminate that worry anyways?
EPNCSU2006, you are correct about the ECM for the conversion kit, I read up on it now that the pain meds from my broken finger have left my system and my mind is clear once again. I now see that it also converts to SEFI from the batch system.
Sorry for the mis-info. Stay away from pain meds when operating a keyboard
I noticed in a few other kits you need to add a downstream O2 sensor, does that apply here? And also, what sort of power will this conversion support and when will I need to start tuning it and how is that done?
Now that I've got my questions sorted out about the conversion..
I'm looking at programmers now and I'm wondering.. should I be buying for a Stang because that's what the new computer in the kit is for? How does that work?
