351W MAF Conversion from a 5.0?

While Browsing through the local CL listings today, i went back a few days and noticed some 5.0 Mustang parts.
"88 mustang computer harness converted to MAF and A9P computer $100 obo"

He says above it's the computer harness, so I'm going to take a guess and say it's the whole wiring harness, but I could be mistaken. Anyways, could I use the MAF sensor and the A9P computer and use them on my 351W? Would that be feasible? I don't need the entire wiring harness, just the MAF sensor and the computer for the sensor..right? If thats all I need I'll get on this deal! However I'm not positive so I figured I'd ask all the experts here.

The 88 mustangs were SD , so it sounds like its a kit to change the mustang to mass air , it may work , but i think you would need to add to the wiring because the meter location on a truck is different from the mustang ??? some others will chime in on that...

Sounds like a great deal. Even if the meter is in a different location you can easily add wire to that sensor.

It'll get you started but there are two issues.
1) You will have to strip the converion harness down and rearrange it since the EEC hides in the opposite kick panel on the Mustang compared to the trucks.
2) The '88 Mustang was unique in that it was SD but with sequential injection while the truck SD sytsem is batch fired so you will still be missing all the wiring to convert the injectors.

Haha I was hoping you'd chime in and give me some help. You too Lew!
Anyways, what do you mean strip the conversion harness down? You mean take out the MAF sensor itself, and pull it apart by individual wires? Sorry if i ask too many questions, I just want to make sure I get it right the first time..
And for the second one..could I get wire and wire them individually and go by each injector..? Could I go to a JW and get the injector wire harness? Or would it be better to just try and get a harness from our trucks and not hassle with this one? Lol I just saw this mustang MAF and thought I'd ask before anything..

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate it.
