The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
For me, it's the standard by which all other westerns are measured.

Most unusual: Lust in the dust Really, that's the name
Best: Dances with Wolves and Open Range ain't bad either. Or there is also Lonesome Dove. Most any John Wayne western is a treat.

Not the typical western in my opinion, but still my favorite, would be McClintock.

Any of the spaghetti westerns were good.
For realism; Unforgiven and maybe Pale Rider.
For flash; Silverado.
The worst; two thumbs down for Wild Wild West (the movie, not the series)
Another good one was The Outlaw Josey Wales.

I like almost any with John Wayne, though The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly was excellent, too. Heck, I like almost all of 'em.

I'd have to agree. What a letdown when I saw that movie.
I was (am) a big fan of the series.

I liked Tombstone as a modern western and Open Range; my kids like the Magnificent Seven and of course the Good, Bad and Eli Wallach

Any Spagetti Western
Unforgiven
Silverado
On the comic side, "Blazing Saddles" of course, and "Rustler's Rhapsody". If you haven't seen R.R., get it.
