how do i take off plastic cover for steering column

how do i take off plastic cover for steering column
99 f250 auto and i need to get the plastic housing off the steering column so i can get to some wires inside the shifter lever, how do i get the housing for the key off and the steering wheel tilt lever off? the whole housing needs to come off so how do i remove it.

Unscrew the tilt lever, it may be a little tight, but it does unscrew. Then look up underneath the bottom of the plastic housing. You will see screw holes. Shine a flashlight up in the holes to see the screws, there are 4 holes but only 3 of them are actually screws. Unscrew them and the lower portion of the housing will come off. Look up at the bottom of the ignition switch and you will see a little ball. Place your key in the ignition switch and press up on the little ball and the switch will come out.
