I Won.!!!!!!!!!

A couple weeks ago I purchased a Diablo Predator from Motorhaven for a buddy of mine who was having a Fishing tournament. This past Sunday i was at the tourament and bought a raffle ticket,$2.00 later I am the winner of the Diablo Predator..!!!!
Funny thing is I just sold my SCMT to another buddy 5 days ago and had no intentions of a tuner again, and Now this.!!!
Havent done anything with it other than check codes and try to figure out that Live streaming deal. Went to a funeral today and left it hooked up to save a log. Cant seem to get it to the laptop and opened yet,but the nights not over.. I have about 12,000 miles on my Reman now, and alls well. Now I am having thoughts of loading a tune or 2.
Just to check it out and see how it acts,,Never had a Diablo before. Surely the tow setting should be harmless for a day or 2.! Supposedly this is the latest version, and egt is not to be like it was on previous predators. My X Monitor has been showing some crazy temps, like 2000* with factory tuning and no towing, just crusing down the road and it jumps from 500 to 2000. Guess I better get that fixed first before I play,,, if I dont chicken out first.!!

I have to laugh, that's great!!!
I have the Predator as well, I recommend installing the Tow/Safe mode.
It's a much superiour tune and a little more power than the factory tune.
My engine would sound like a gasser with the timing way too advanced on the freeway and the Predator tune completly cleared that out.
Plus it's not so much power that you begin to worry about the rest of the drivetrain.
EGT's are no higher than stock with my big exhaust.
Quite a bit more boost.
I really don't think that you have anything to worry about on your new engine with that setting.

Congrats on scoring the Predator!

I must add that I've never, ever have had any egt problems of any kind regardless of the Predator setting.

Of course there are exceptions to that statement.

come on... you KNOW that isn't true... once you load the tow program... your mule runs so much better you end up loading the 65hp tune... then your mule has some REAL power so you end up loading the 85hp tune and your engine runs like it should... so you HAVE to load the 100hp tune and you can't keep your tires on the ground... so you SETTLE for the 85hp tune as your dailly driver, BUT, you can't keep your FOOT out of the throtle or the EAR TO EAR GRIN off your face... and fuel mileage is NOT an issue anymore... sorry, but i believe in truth in advertising...! if you want more mpg... do NOT buy a predator...!

Congrats!!
If you do not like the tuner, I pay you what you paid ($2) and I'll even kick in the shipping and handling when you send it to me. Heck, I'll pay double what you paid ($4).

Hope you have fun with your "new" tuner. Download the Diablo PC program to your PC and hook up the Diablo Predator to it.

Ya'll are terrible..... TALK ABOUT PEER PRESSURE

OK i did it,, Loaded the tow program and went to dallas and back. EGT were not an issue (got the x monitor fixed too) but just crusin along about 70 and barely ease into it and and it rolled out a thick black cloud just for a sec and then it was gone. Runs good, and very drivable, nice and smooth, not Jerky like my SCMT was, Dosent feel as strong as the SCMT in the tow mode though.Ran a little rough this morning at start up is my only complaint and that might not even be tuner related, complete new engine assembly but who knows?, got down to 30* and shook the whole truck for about 10 secs when it fired and dumped a bunch of blue smoke for about 15 secs,,Never did that before.!? This morning was as cold as its been yet, Gonna run it a couple days and see what happens.

Hmmmm. Blue smoke when cold is usually a burned out glow plug. Or one that is not powered. I know you just had that engine put in.

put the wicked wheel in your turbo and a lot of that black smoke out the tailpipe goes away... also... the tow tune is nice, but that 85hp tune really WAKES UP the motor..!

Well 2days now and i finally finished a full tank on the tow tune, 14.8mpg,,about the same as always. Started fine this morning but i made sure i waited for the WTS light to go out, I am very often guilty of just jumping in and hitting the key. Was about 37 this morning and no smokes or shakes. Did notice a couple times today when i came to a stop i had a lope,,kinda rocked the truck a little.
Loaded the 65hp tune while ago (NUTTIN BUT PEER PRESSURE HERE) with the firm shifts,,Going to deliver a boat tomorrow about 100 miles away so see how it goes I guess.

if you don't have it already... i reccomend the sonnax kit... that "hard" setting on the predator is nice, but the sonnax does a much better job... only bad thing is that is shows you how "soft" the t/c is if you still have a stock t/c.... i know because i do...
